Our story The history of Østnes Helicopters started in 1993 with the establishment of the firm Kjell A Østnes AS in Oslo, Norway. In 1999, Østnes Helicopters entered a partnership with Eurocopter, today known as Airbus Helicopters. The company served as a sales agent for Airbus until January 2020, when we officially took on the role as Nordic distributor. In 2006, Østnes Helicopters became the distributor for Airbus Helicopters spare parts and services for the Nordic market. As a result of these efforts, the company has created a significant presence in the Nordics within the Rotary Wing Sector and has sold more than 500 helicopters, both directly from original equipment manufacturers and through the secondary market. In the current market situation, Østnes Helicopters serves as the sales distributor for Airbus Helicopters and Safran Helicopter Engines in the Nordic region. Additionally, in 2020, we launched our own Maintenance Center at Eggemoen, Hønefoss. This has provided us with a chance to further our growth ambitions of becoming an One Stop Shop for Nordic helicopter Operators, as well as continuing to deliver high-quality after sales services to all of our customers worldwide.
